Time commitment - approximately 13-18 hours in total, divided as follows:

  • Self-study: six modules combining video lectures, demonstration videos, quizzes, hands-on exercises, handouts, and reading materials. Approximately 120 minutes (two hours) of work per module is expected to get the maximum out of the course.
  • Online tutor meetings (1 hour each)
PRODUCT
MIKE+ Collection System (MIKE 1D)
Urban drainage is crucial in developed areas due to human activities' interaction with the natural water cycle. Water supply for human life and rainfall on impermeable surfaces necessitate drainage system establishment and management. This course provides comprehensive instruction on urban drainage modeling, empowering you to enhance your modeling skills for various urban drainage projects. Successful completion offers enrollment opportunities in advanced MIKE+ training courses.

About MIKE+ Collection System (MIKE 1D)
MIKE+ serves as DHI’s urban water modeling platform, covering all urban water systems. MIKE+ Collection System (MIKE 1D) offers a user-friendly platform for integrated modeling of urban stormwater and wastewater collection systems.

IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR ME?
This course suits you if:
  • You're a professional, researcher, or similar in urban stormwater drainage or wastewater collection.
  • You possess basic knowledge of urban hydrology and network hydraulics.
  • You're ready to complete a self-paced six-module course.
  • You seek the possibility of arranging online sessions with a private DHI tutor for guidance and discussion.
WHAT ARE MY EXPECTED OUTCOMES?
Upon completion, you'll confidently apply MIKE+ features essential for setting up urban collection system models, running simulations, and reviewing results across various projects.

HOW DO I LEARN?
Online learning includes video lectures, demonstration videos, quizzes, hands-on exercises, handouts, and reading materials. Additionally, one-on-one meetings with your DHI tutor optimize your learning process. Expect around 120 minutes (two hours) of work per module for optimal learning outcomes. Completion, including online meetings, is expected within 30 or 60 days, depending on your pricing tier.
