MIKE Software Summit 2026: Surface Water, Groundwater, and Coastal Processes in Florida’s Water Environments
Date: Thursday 12th of March & Friday 13th of March 2026 from 9 AM to 5 PM EDT
Location: The Water School, Florida Gulf University, Fort Myers, Florida, US
Fee: Free participation (registration required)
We warmly welcome both new and experienced MIKE users to an inspiring event with great training opportunities and expert presentations, user insights and networking.
Water Resources and Coastal Management are increasingly important to Florida Water Environments, requiring engagement with academic researchers, practitioners and managers dedicated to developing and applying solutions to the challenges of sustainable development and protection from hazards and environmental impacts. Coming together as a community to address these challenges and explore solutions and technological approaches is both a timely opportunity and essential to progress. That's why DHI and the FGCU Water School are hosting a free event designed to bring together leading experts and professionals in water resource and coastal management. Tailored for users of MIKE SHE, MIKE+ Rivers, and/or MIKE 21/3 as well as engineering consultants working in water resources, coastal and water management. Attendees will gain insights from real-world case studies, share best practices, participate in interactive training workshops and be inspired by technical presentations of commercial and research applications of MIKE software.
Day 1: Conference
Final Conference Program will be available January 26th, 2026
Abstracts submission for presentations is now open - please submit your abstract here.
The deadline for abstract submission is January 12th, 2026.
Day 2: Training (Introductory and Advanced Topics)
Full training schedule will be ready by October 20th, 2025
Generalized topics include practical applications of:
MIKE SHE, which is widely used by hydrologists, engineers, and researchers to evaluate water resources, predict flooding events, and optimize water management strategies.
MIKE+ Rivers, which is a versatile modelling platform designed for river engineering, flood control, watershed management, and ecological restoration.
MIKE 21 & MIKE 3, which is an advanced software suites for simulating and analyzing water flow, currents, wave conditions, and processes in marine and coastal environments.
There will be introductory tracks for new users and advanced tracks for existing users available.
